If you live outside the Orlando area, one of our Florida satellite locations may be able to serve your family. Participating satellite locations will provide a pre-packed bag of toys based on your registration information and available inventory. Toy bags will be available for pickup on a designated date and time.

 

To qualify for an appointment at Nathaniel’s Toy Shop:

• VIPs and siblings must be biological, adopted, or foster children living in the same household as the parent or guardian completing the registration.
• You must be pre-verified with Nathaniel’s Hope.
• A valid VIP Membership ID number is required for every VIP being registered.
• Families must have a child with special needs (VIP) and be experiencing financial hardship.
• Only one registration is permitted per family.
• If a parent or legal guardian is unable to attend, a parent-designated representative may shop on the family’s behalf. This must be noted during registration or communicated to us before your appointment date.
• VIP Membership Cards are not required at check-in.

You cannot register without a valid VIP Membership ID number.

Required Documents for Siblings

You must provide one of the following documents for each sibling registered:

• Birth Certificate
• Guardianship Papers
• School Records
• Screenshot of the family Medicare portal showing all family members included in the household account.

Documents must include:

• The parent or guardian’s name listed on the registration
• The child’s name

Developmental Age Considerations

Nathaniel’s Hope considers a VIP’s developmental age when determining eligibility for Nathaniel’s Toy Shop.

VIPs age 18 and older must have an Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) to qualify for gifts through Nathaniel’s Toy Shop. This requirement is based on the types of toys typically received through donations.

Understanding Chronological vs. Developmental Age

Chronological Age
A child’s age based on their date of birth.

Developmental Age
The age level at which a child functions emotionally, physically, cognitively, and socially.

You should receive an email at the address used during registration with your scheduled appointment time and the names of the children included in your registration. Please check your inbox, as well as your spam, junk, and promotions folders.

 

Location information will be announced in November 2026.

Check-In Information

• You will have a 15-minute check-in window for your scheduled appointment.
• Please allow extra travel time and check your GPS before leaving to ensure you arrive on time.
• If you arrive after your scheduled appointment time, we may be unable to accommodate a later check-in.

Wait Times

• You will shop in the Toy Shop with the assistance of a personal shopper.
• VIPs and siblings are not permitted inside the Toy Shop. If you are unable to arrange care for your VIP or siblings, you may remain in your vehicle while a personal shopper shops on your behalf.
• No meals or refreshments will be provided.

What to Bring

• We will be unable to accommodate check-ins outside of your assigned time slot.

Who Can Attend

• At least one parent, legal guardian, or pre-approved parent-designated representative must be present at check-in.
