FAQ
Do I need experience?
No experience is required. You don’t even need to be an extrovert! We provide simple guidelines and support so you can serve with confidence, compassion, and care.
Can my family volunteer together?
Absolutely! Families are encouraged to volunteer together and share the joy of celebrating and supporting VIP families.
How often am I expected to serve?
Each outreach opportunity is a one-time event, so you can participate as often or as little as you’d like. Some volunteers choose to serve once, while others become involved multiple times throughout the year. With the family’s consent, you may also choose to stay connected and continue offering encouragement and support beyond the initial visit.
What areas do you serve?
We work to connect volunteers with VIP families in their local community whenever possible.
Do I need to provide supplies?
Yes. At a minimum, volunteers are asked to provide a balloon and a poster to help celebrate the VIP. You’re also welcome to bring a special treat, create a small treasure box of items to choose from, or include other thoughtful gifts that are appropriate for the individual VIP and their celebration.
