Title: Communications Specialist

Job Description
Are you a creative communicator with a passion for storytelling and design? We are seeking a Communications Specialist to help share our mission and engage our community through compelling digital and print communications.
Responsibilities Include:
- Creating and scheduling outgoing emails and newsletters
- Updating website content and event information
- Designing graphics for social media, email campaigns, print materials, and events
- Writing stories, promotional content, press releases, and organizational updates
- Assisting with social media content creation, audience engagement, and community outreach
- Coordinating public relations efforts, including media outreach, press inquiries, and relationship-building with community partners
- Supporting event promotion and public visibility initiatives
- Helping maintain consistent branding, messaging, and public image across all communication channels
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Intermediate graphic design experience
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools preferred
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Blackbaud, MailChimp, Constant Contact, websites, and social media management
- Passion for mission-driven work and community impact
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field preferred
