Important Day Of Info
- The event will take place RAIN or SHINE!
- Wild Florida is located at 3301 Lake Cypress Rd. Kenansville, FL 34739
- Check your GPS prior to departure to allow for ample travel time (if you are a part of the 2nd shift, you may get caught in our VIP Family traffic closer to Wild Florida, so plan to arrive early)
- When you arrive follow the signs to the entrance of the safari and you will be directed to the volunteer parking area – View Map Here.
- Volunteer parking is limited. Please carpool if possible.
- Once you park, please check in with Kari at the volunteer tent. You will receive your t-shirt and assignment. (If you would like to pick up your t-shirt from our office on Thursday, please call us 407-857-8224)
- The weather is calling for scattered thunderstorms on both Friday and Saturday. The good news is, the animals LOVE the rain! The bad news is, we are going to have a bad hair day. 🙂 Please bring personal rain gear – i.e. poncho, umbrella, etc.
- Even though it may be cloudy, you can still get sunburned! A hat will protect from rain and ultraviolet rays. We will have a limited supply of sunscreen available but please bring a small stash.
- When your shift is over, we invite you to take a Safari ride.
- If you need community service hours, please make sure to have your form signed at the end of your shift.
REMEMBER: Even though the state is reopening, please practice good social distancing with our VIP families. Some of our VIPs are high risk, so please bring a mask to wear for interacting with our VIP families.
